From Monday 5 August for six months, all public transport fares in Queensland will be a flat fare of 50 cents per journey, regardless of the zones travelled.
50% concession fares will not apply during this time.
The following groups and card holders will continue to receive free travel — please check for eligibility and conditions of travel:
- Children under five years
- TPI/EDA Veteran Travel card
- Vision Impairment Travel Pass
- Translink Access Pass
- go access Travel Trainer card
- One companion or carer travelling with a Companion Card holder who has a valid ticket for travel.
Approved concession cards
You can travel on a concession fare if you hold one of the approved concession cards for:
- South East Queensland (PDF, 1.2MB)
- Regional Queensland (PDF, 632MB)
- qconnect North Stradbroke Island (PDF, 712MB)
- Non-Translink ferry (PDF 1.2MB)
You must carry your proof of concession entitlement with you at all times and show it to the driver or authorised person when asked.
